About Me
Hello, I'm Valerie!
I've been creating art for as long as I can remember and it has always been an amazing form of expression. I love painting with oils and acrylics, but also watercolors, digital art and pencil sketches. Modern lettering, or calligraphy, is also a passion of mine; I use it to turn simple words and sentences into a beautiful work of art. Recently, I have also fallen in love with the simplicity and manageability of digital art and work as a digital media specialist for an award winning newspaper.
My work has won multiple first place awards and grand prizes at my annual country fair, as well as a Gold Key in the Scholastic Art and Writing competition. Several of my paintings have paintings have also been published and featured in the "Celebrating Art" books, showcasing winners of the Celebrating Arts contest.
All of my pieces of art have a story behind them: a meaning and purpose. I hope to use my art to inspire and motivate others to pursue their dreams as well!
